My Care Matters Health Services

About Us

We are My Care Matters Health Services, a home care agency delivering professional support to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those with special needs throughout Delta. We provide personal care, companionship, dementia care, palliative support, medication management, post-hospital recovery, and full 24/7 overnight care. Our team carries 30 years of combined experience in nursing and in-home care and is available every hour of every day. We also offer multilingual care services so your loved one can speak with their caregiver in the language that feels most comfortable and familiar to them.

What Drives Us

The decision to bring a caregiver into your home doesn’t happen overnight. Families spend a lot of time weighing it; wondering who exactly will be there with their loved one, what the day-to-day reality of care looks like, and whether someone will genuinely respond when something comes up at an inconvenient hour. We take all of that seriously. Our caregivers don’t arrive with a fixed plan. They take the time to understand your loved one as a person; their routine, the things that matter to them, and what helps them feel comfortable and at home. Then we build the care around that. Whether your family is in Ladner, Tsawwassen, North Delta, or Annieville, we’re available whenever you need to reach us.

What We Believe

Listen before you act: We don’t recommend a care plan until we understand your loved one’s situation properly. Every plan we put together starts with a real conversation, not assumptions.

Consistency builds comfort: Familiar faces matter, especially for seniors and those with dementia. We match caregivers thoughtfully and keep that relationship stable so your loved one knows what to expect each visit.

Families deserve clear answers: We keep you informed throughout your loved one’s care and reach out promptly when anything changes. You won’t be left guessing. Meet our care team here.

Thoroughly vetted caregivers: Before any caregiver enters your home they go through a full screening process; reference checks and a criminal record check included. Ongoing training keeps the quality of care steady over time.

Home Care in Delta

Delta is made up of three distinct communities; Ladner, Tsawwassen, and North Delta; each with its own character and its own mix of housing. Many seniors in Ladner have lived in the same home for a long time and feel a strong connection to the community around them. Tsawwassen families often reach out when a loved one wants to stay close to the ocean and the neighbourhood they know. In North Delta, we regularly support seniors in areas like Annieville and Nordel who want reliable help at home without having to give up their independence. Delta’s diverse population also means language matters here; being matched with a caregiver who speaks your loved one’s language can be the difference between care that feels comfortable and care that just gets by.

What Families Usually Come to Us With

The families we hear from in Delta are usually at a turning point of some kind. A loved one has recently come home from the hospital and the family has realised they can’t manage the recovery on their own. A senior in Ladner or Tsawwassen has been doing fine independently for years but things have started slipping in ways that are hard to ignore. Or someone is coordinating a parent’s care from out of the area and needs a local team they can genuinely rely on to show up and follow through. We also work with families supporting a loved one through dementia or end-of-life care who need more consistent and skilled support than they can provide themselves. In every case we begin with a free in-home assessment; no obligation, no pressure. We come to you, we listen to what’s going on, and we put together a care plan based on what we actually find. If you’d like to look through questions other families have asked before reaching out, our FAQ page covers a lot of the common ones.
