Individual Counselling
The Nook offers individual counselling for adults dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, stress, and major life changes. Sessions are available in person at their Coquitlam and Pitt Meadows offices or virtually through their Janeapp booking platform. Each counsellor brings their own approach and background, and the practice works to match you with the right fit.
Relationship and Couples Counselling
The Nook provides relationship and couples counselling for partners looking to improve communication, work through conflict, or navigate transitions together. The practice creates a neutral, non-judgmental space where both partners can be heard. Whether you are dealing with specific relationship strain or just want to strengthen your connection, the team works at your pace.
Teen Counselling (17 and Up)
The Nook welcomes teens age 17 and older for individual counselling. This age group often faces unique pressures around school, identity, relationships, and life direction, and The Nook creates a space that feels relevant rather than clinical. Teens can meet with a counsellor in person at the Coquitlam or Pitt Meadows office, or connect virtually from anywhere in BC.
Meet the Team
The Nook Counselling is made up of Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC) and Registered Social Workers (RSW) who each bring their own experience and therapeutic style. The current team includes Natalie Frado (RCC), Arlen Tom (RSW), Hamidah Rahman (RCC), Dani Randle (RSW), and Rié Yasumiishi (RSW). All therapists work from a client-centred and culturally sensitive lens, meeting each person as an individual rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
